XML entity expansion in Linaro Automated Validation Architecture before 2022.11 allows remote authenticated users to exhaust server memory. The XMLRPC interface accepts attacker-supplied XML containing recursively defined entities, whose expansion proceeds until server resources are exhausted. A valid account is required; exploitation consumes excessive memory until the LAVA server becomes unavailable, without reported data disclosure or modification.
