CVE-2022-44636

Microphone access via Bluetooth remote spoofing

Published Dec 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Authentication bypass in Samsung TV 2021 and 2022 models allows physically proximate attackers to enable microphone access over Bluetooth. The smart remote-control path accepts spoofed Bluetooth input and fails to bind microphone information transfer to an authentic remote button press. Exploitation requires Bluetooth proximity and simultaneous user interaction, exposing microphone audio with no reported control over recording or TV availability.
