Webhook credential disclosure via unmasked API response
Published Mar 9, 2023 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Affected GitLab releases allow remote authenticated users to read inherited Discord webhook URLs through a project integrations API response. The project-level GET /projects/:id/integrations/discord endpoint returns a group owner's inherited webhook value in the raw response instead of masking or omitting the secret. A project maintainer with an access token can retrieve the credential and use it to post unauthenticated content to the configured Discord channel.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
