CVE-2022-44533Network attack vector

Root command execution via undisclosed web flaw

Published Nov 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

Code injection in Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Software allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands through its web interface. HPE identifies the web management interface as the affected locus but has not disclosed the request handler, input field, or missing validation that passes attacker-controlled data to an operating-system command. Administrative authentication is required; successful exploitation runs commands as root and permits complete compromise of the appliance.
