Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Jan 16, 2023 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Stored XSS in iberezansky 3D FlipBook 1.13.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The shortcode renderer outputs the classes attribute without validation or escaping, allowing an injected event handler to persist in a post. Exploitation requires Contributor-level access to submit the crafted shortcode and a higher-privileged user to preview or view the affected post.
