Database credential disclosure via injectable AJAX parameter
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
SQL injection in FL3R FeelBox 8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read sensitive WordPress database data through an AJAX request. The unauthenticated populate_post action embeds an attacker-controlled postID in an SQL statement without sanitization, escaping, or parameterization. A nonce exposed in public blog-post source is the only gate, and a crafted UNION query discloses WordPress usernames and password hashes.
