CVE-2022-44434

Local contacts service interruption via missing authorization

Published Jan 4, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Missing authorization in the UNISOC Android messaging service allows local users on affected chipsets to interrupt the contacts service. The messaging service processes a locally initiated operation without checking the caller's permission, allowing that operation to disrupt the contacts service. UNISOC has not disclosed the affected request, API, or failure mode; local access is required, and no data exposure or modification is reported.
