Database disclosure via unneutralized mechanic ID
Published Nov 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
SQL injection in Automotive Shop Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through a crafted mechanic ID. The view_mechanic.php handler passes the id query parameter into a database statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, as an updatexml error payload demonstrates. Administrator-level access to the management site is required; successful exploitation discloses database contents through SQL errors.
