Administrator account takeover via forged profile request
Published Nov 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in EyouCMS 1.5.9-UTF8-SP1 allows remote attackers to alter an administrator account through a crafted request. The Edit Admin Profile module accepts a cross-origin profile-update submission in an authenticated administrator's browser without verifying that the administrator intended the request. An administrator must remain signed in and open attacker-supplied HTML; successful exploitation changes the password, mobile number, and email address and enables account takeover.
