CVE-2022-44367Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Device crash via unchecked pingHostIp1 concatenation

Published Dec 2, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

A stack buffer overflow in Tenda i21 firmware 1.0.0.14(4656) allows remote attackers to crash the device through setUplinkInfo. The handler passes the user-controlled pingHostIp1 value to sprintf for concatenation into auto_ping_ip without checking the destination size. The CVSS record rates access as unauthenticated, although the published request includes a password cookie; the crash is demonstrated, while root-shell execution is only asserted.
