Device crash via unchecked cmd parameter copy
Published Dec 2, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Heap buffer overflow in Tenda i21 firmware 1.0.0.14(4656) allows remote attackers to crash the device with a crafted HTTP request. The /goform/setDiagnoseInfo handler copies the cmd parameter after its five-byte prefix into a 0x50-byte heap buffer with strcpy without checking its length. The HTTP endpoint is network-reachable without reported user interaction, and the published proof of concept demonstrates a service-interrupting crash.
