Heap corruption via invalidated media-player iterator
Published Dec 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Blink Media in Google Chrome before 108.0.5359.124 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory via crafted HTML. MediaInspectorContextImpl::CullPlayers iterates dead_players_ while event removal can trigger garbage collection that appends players, reallocates the vector, and invalidates the active iterator. A victim must load attacker-controlled HTML; the resulting corruption occurs in the browser renderer and remains subject to Chrome's sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
