Unauthenticated command execution via firmware filename
Published Nov 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
OS command injection in TOTOLINK NR1800X 9.1.0u.6279_B20210910 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted firmware filename. The UploadFirmwareFile function incorporates the attacker-controlled FileName value into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. Network access to the firmware-upload handler is sufficient; successful injection executes commands in the router firmware context and can read, alter, or interrupt device operations.
