Open redirect via unsanitized request target
Published Aug 22, 2023 · Updated Oct 3, 2024
Open redirect in South River Technologies Titan FTP Server 19.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to redirect users through its HTTP(S) interface. The request handler accepts a leading double backslash in an untrusted request target and uses the resulting value in the Location header without validation. A victim must follow a crafted link in a browser, after which the redirect can send the victim to an attacker-controlled phishing page.
