Out-of-bounds read in Lodepng v20220717 allows local users to cause a denial of service via a crafted PNG processed by pngdetail. The pngdetail function parses attacker-controlled PNG data and accesses invalid memory, producing a segmentation fault. Exploitation requires a local user to supply or open the crafted image, and the demonstrated consequence is interruption of the parsing process without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
