Stored XSS via unsanitized news article content
Published Nov 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Stored XSS in Zenario CMS 9.3.57186 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser through news articles. The news-article editor stores an EMBED element supplied in the Summary or Main content field and later renders its data-URI SVG script without effective neutralization. An account with access to create news articles must save the payload, and a separate user must view the affected content; browser-context data access and modification are the bounded impacts.
