Unauthenticated code execution via package backdoor
Published Nov 7, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025
Code execution in d8s-networking 0.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a third-party democritus-json backdoor. The package distribution includes democritus-json code inserted by a third party; public records do not identify the file, function, or trigger that executes it. The unauthenticated network attack requires no user interaction and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
