Remote command execution via injectable table name
Published Dec 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in Simmeth Lieferantenmanager before 5.6 allows remote attackers to execute commands on the MSSQL server through the API. The GetPaggedTab endpoint incorporates the client-controlled ResultTab table Name into a raw SQL query, accepting subqueries and stacked statements. A reachable API and knowledge of a valid username are sufficient; stacked SQL can enable xp_cmdshell, read server files, and execute operating-system commands.
