CVE-2022-44009Network attack vector

Authenticated data disclosure via unchecked Jinja filters

Published Dec 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

Improper access control in StackStorm 3.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' key-value pairs through Jinja filters. The filters resolve datastore keys without applying the Key-Value RBAC permission check, so template evaluation crosses user-scoped access boundaries. Exploitation requires a StackStorm account and an installation with RBAC enabled and key-value permission rules; exposed values can include sensitive information.
