Database modification via unparameterized note update
Published Dec 10, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in TicklishHoneyBee nodau allows local users to alter its SQLite notes database through crafted note names or values. The db_update function concatenates the note value and name into an UPDATE statement passed to sqlite3_exec without parameter binding. Exploitation requires access to supply note data to the console application and can modify or delete data in that user's notes database.
