CVE-2022-4398

Process crash via DWARF graph integer overflow

Published Dec 10, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025

Integer overflow in radare2's DWARF graph rendering before 5.8.0 allows context-dependent attackers to crash the process. core_anal_graph_label adds the accumulated index, source-line length, and eight extra bytes without checking overflow before realloc and memcpy. A user must analyze a crafted file and render its DWARF-backed graph; the undersized allocation can also corrupt process memory.
