Remote code execution via absolute-path file inclusion
Published Jan 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Path traversal in Pandora FMS v764 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through local file inclusion. An input-validation function rejects malicious characters but fails to reject absolute paths, so a supplied path can include any PHP file resident on the server. Exploitation requires high privileges, adjacent-network access, and user interaction; code runs in the web-console server context.
