CVE-2022-43977Network attack vector

Unauthenticated superuser code execution via exposed qconn

Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 4, 2025

Improper access control in GE Grid Solutions MS 3000 firmware before 3.7.6.25p0_3.2.2.17p0_4.7p0 allows remote attackers to execute code. The firmware exposes the qconn debug daemon over TCP without access control; QNX documents that qconn lets any client run applications as superuser. Network access to the device is sufficient, allowing full control of its software and data and interruption of its operation.
