CVE-2022-43969Network attack vector

Folder credential disclosure via malicious FTP destination

Published Feb 16, 2023 · Updated Mar 19, 2025

Credential exposure in Ricoh MP C4504ex firmware 1.06 allows remote attackers to obtain stored folder passwords through a malicious FTP server. After a data-transmission destination is changed to an attacker-controlled FTP server, the device sends the saved folder username and password without adequate protection. The attacker must be able to change the transmission setting and operate the destination server; the disclosed credentials expose the configured folder account.
