CVE-2022-43955Network attack vector

Reflected XSS via unsanitized report log entries

Published Apr 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024

Reflected XSS in FortiWeb 7.0.0 through 7.0.3 and affected 6.x releases allows remote attackers to execute script in report viewers. The web interface inserts attacker-controlled content from log entries into generated HTML attack reports without proper neutralization. Exploitation requires a malicious entry to reach a generated report and user interaction to view it, enabling script execution in that viewer's browser context.
