Unauthenticated code execution via unvalidated file upload
Published Jan 30, 2023 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in WP Swings Membership for WooCommerce before 2.1.7 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code. The wps_membership_csv_file_upload AJAX action accepts a multipart file and places it under wp-content/uploads/mfw-activity-logger/csv-uploads without validating its type or contents. No authentication is required; a PHP file stored in that web-accessible directory executes with the WordPress server's privileges.
