CVE-2022-43936Network attack vector

Switch-password disclosure via debug logging

Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024

Information exposure in Brocade SANnav before 2.2.2 allows attackers to read Fabric OS switch passwords from debug logs. When debugging is enabled, the logging component writes managed-switch passwords into log output instead of excluding the sensitive fields. Exploitation requires a local or remote authenticated privileged user with access to the logs, and the reported consequence is disclosure of switch users' passwords.
