CVE-2022-43915Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via unrestricted unshare calls

Published Aug 24, 2024 · Updated Sep 21, 2024

Privilege escalation in IBM App Connect Enterprise Certified Container allows remote authenticated users to gain elevated privileges. Running pods fail to restrict calls to the Linux unshare command, permitting misuse of namespace operations from an existing command session. Exploitation requires privileged access to execute commands in a running pod; the documented impact is elevation of that user's privileges.
