API-key disclosure via unredacted log output
Published Dec 19, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Information exposure in IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.7, 11.2.0, and 11.2.1 allows remote attackers to cause API keys to be written to log files. The affected logging path records API-key values in persistent output without suppressing or redacting them. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient to reach the path; a party with later log access can recover sensitive key material for further attacks.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
