Authenticated file-permission disclosure via UNION SQL injection
Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in IBM Navigator releases 7.3, 7.4, and 7.5 allows remote authenticated users to view file permissions. The affected interface incorporates attacker-supplied UNION clauses into a database query, exposing permissions for objects the account can access. Access to Navigator and authorization for the queried object are required; the disclosure bypasses restrictions imposed by this interface.
