Denial of service in IBM SPSS Statistics I/O Module 26.0, 27.0.1, and 28.0 allows local users to interrupt file operations. The module leaks a file handle whenever code attempts to write an SPSS .sav file to an unwritable location, so repeated attempts exhaust the available handle capacity. Local access capable of invoking the library is required; exhaustion prevents additional file operations and interrupts the affected process.
