CVE-2022-4384Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Subscriber-level activity disclosure via unauthorized alert creation

Published Feb 6, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Missing authorization in XWP Stream before 3.9.2 allows remote authenticated users to create alerts that disclose activity data. The save_new_alert action validates only a reusable nonce and accepts subscriber-supplied trigger, recipient, and notification settings without a capability check. Subscriber access is sufficient to obtain the nonce and route matching events, such as login activity, to an attacker-controlled email address.
