Stored XSS via unsanitized form redirect attribute
Published Jan 2, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Stored XSS in Code Atlantic Popup Maker before 1.16.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a subscription form. The pum_sub_form shortcode accepts a redirect attribute containing a javascript URL without validation or escaping, causing form submission to invoke attacker-supplied script. Contributor access is sufficient to store the payload in a post; execution requires another user to view the post and submit the form.
