CVE-2022-43764Network attack vector

Remote code execution via Tbase configuration overflow

Published Feb 8, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in B&R Industrial Automation APROL before R 4.2-07 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted messages. Tbase insufficiently validates input parameters in configuration-change messages, allowing them to overflow a stack buffer. Access to the system network is required; successful exploitation can also stop or make an affected node inaccessible.
