Root escalation via REQ_DIR stack overflow

Stack-based buffer overflow in Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 CDE allows local users to gain root privileges through a crafted printer icon. The dtprintinfo check_dir() function uses the attacker-controlled REQ_DIR value as sprintf's format string while writing into a 300-byte stack buffer. Exploitation requires a low-privileged CDE session, a printer entry, and activation of its icon, after which attacker-supplied code runs as root.
