Application crash via malformed s7ontcp.dll parameter
Published Dec 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Improper input validation in Siemens SICAM PAS/PQS before 8.06 allows remote attackers to crash the application with crafted messages. The s7ontcp.dll library accepts a certain message parameter without validating that it has the required type, and the invalid value terminates the application. No authentication or user interaction is required; Siemens has not disclosed the parameter or message format, and the demonstrated consequence is a service crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
