CVE-2022-43718Network attack vector

Cross-site scripting via HTML-rendered upload messages

Published Jan 16, 2023 · Updated Apr 7, 2025

Cross-site scripting in Apache Superset 1.5.2 and earlier and 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script via upload forms. Upload handlers interpolate filenames, table names, database names, and backend error text into flash messages that the Toast component renders as HTML. Database-connection update permission is required, and another user must view a crafted upload message, enabling browser-context data access or actions.
