Stored script execution via unsanitized entity names
Published Nov 14, 2022 · Updated May 13, 2025
Stored XSS in Concrete CMS before 8.5.10 and 9.0.0 through 9.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a viewer's browser. The Express entity-association dashboard accepts a nonexistent or malicious entity name and renders it without properly sanitizing the stored value. Administrator credentials and subsequent viewing of the crafted association are required; the script executes in the viewer's browser context and can access or alter data available to that user.
