Stored XSS via unsanitized tile color
Published Nov 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Concrete CMS before 8.5.10 and 9.0.0 through 9.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a viewer's browser via a crafted Microsoft application tile color. The icon configuration stores the tile-color value without sanitization, so attacker-controlled markup is rendered when the icon is viewed. Exploitation requires authenticated access to create or modify the icon and a victim to open the affected interface; impact is limited to browser-context data access and actions available to that victim.
