Authenticated denial of service via unbounded cookie rows
Published Nov 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Uncontrolled allocation in Concrete CMS before 8.5.10 and 9.0.0 through 9.1.2 allows remote attackers to cause high load. The persistent-login cookie path inserts a hashed token into authTypeConcreteCookieMap without limiting per-account rows, while validation scans the accumulated tokens. A valid site account and repeated cookie generation are required; the growing table drives excessive database work and interrupts service availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
