CVE-2022-43668

JavaScript execution via insufficient file neutralization

Published Dec 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Cross-site scripting in Qiyun (Shanghai) Technology Ltd. Typora before 1.4.4 allows attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted file. The file-opening path fails to neutralize embedded JavaScript before rendering it, although the public advisories do not identify the responsible parser or sanitization operation. Exploitation requires a target user to download and open the malicious file; the script then runs in Typora's document-viewing context, while specific accessible data and actions remain undisclosed.
