CVE-2022-43667

Code execution via crafted CXP file

Published Dec 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in OMRON CX-Programmer 9.77 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted CXP file. When the application opens the file, its undisclosed CXP parsing routine writes beyond a stack buffer instead of rejecting oversized data. Exploitation requires a user to open the file and can also disclose process memory or crash the application.
