CVE-2022-43641

Information disclosure via U3D object use-after-free

Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

Use-after-free in U3D parsing in Foxit PDF Reader 12.0.1.12430 allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information via a crafted file. The parser performs operations on a U3D object without confirming that the object still exists, allowing a freed object to be dereferenced. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; code execution requires chaining with another flaw.
