CVE-2022-4364Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via palette parameter

Published Dec 8, 2022 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Command injection in the FLIR Systems AX8 Web Service Handler 1.46.0 through 1.46.16 allows remote attackers to execute OS commands. palette.php appends the POST palette value to an invocation of /FLIR/usr/bin/palette without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication is required; injected separators run arbitrary commands with root privileges, permitting device takeover.
