CVE-2022-43625

Root code execution via NetMask stack overflow

Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-1935 1.03 firmware allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code as root. SetStaticRouteIPv4Settings copies an attacker-controlled NetMask value into a fixed-length stack buffer without validating its length. The web management portal requires authentication, but its existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed from the adjacent network.
