Code execution via uninitialized STP parser pointer
Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 14, 2025
Uninitialized pointer access in IronCAD 2022 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code through a crafted STP file. While parsing a VECTOR element, the STP parser accesses a pointer that was not properly initialized. Exploitation requires the targeted user to open the file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
