Persistent XSS via unsanitized Save Table input

Stored XSS in Splunk Enterprise before 8.1.12, 8.2.9, and 9.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The Save Table dialog accepts script-bearing input through the data-model save endpoint and persists it without neutralization for later page rendering. Exploitation requires the power role, Splunk Web, and a victim who completes the multistep browser interaction; successful execution runs script in that victim's session.
