Missing authentication in Ivanti Avalanche Smart Device Service before 6.4.1.236 allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. The service's Apache Derby configuration permits access to critical database functionality without authentication. Low-privileged code execution on the Windows host is required, after which arbitrary code runs with SYSTEM privileges.
