CVE-2022-43538Network attack vector

Root command execution via management-interface injection

Published Jan 3, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

OS command injection in ClearPass Policy Manager 6.10.7 and earlier and 6.9.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The web-based management interface fails to neutralize special elements before invoking an operating-system command, but HPE has not disclosed the affected endpoint or function. Administrative privileges are required, and successful exploitation grants root-level control of the appliance.
