Authenticated command execution via monitor module name
Published Jan 18, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
OS command injection in RTLS Studio 2.0.0 through 2.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands. The monitor services pass an improperly validated module-name value into system-command processing, permitting command injection. Administrative privileges are required; injected commands run on the central positioning server and can expose or alter tracked data or interrupt service.
